PGSS exposed me to an impressive breadth of science. It challenged me to perform to my potential academically while supporting me with an amazing group of peers as well as dedicated, caring professors and TAs. Since there were no grades and we were all encouraged to work together on homework assignments, I experienced firsthand the importance of genuine collaboration in science (as well as in life) and have seeked to pursue that in all my ensuing endeavors. My goal in the future is to become an academic physician, and my summer atPGSS has instilled in me not only the interest to pursue a scientific career, but the confidence that I would be able to succeed, as well.
