Elena Glassman (PGSS 2003)
Harvard Women’s Club Wrestling
It’s womens history month and we’d like to continue by sharing the stories of our AMAZING trailblazing coaches:
Meet our Assistant Coach!
Elena Glassman is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the Harvard Paulson School of Engineering & Applied Sciences and the Stanley A. Marks & William H. Marks Professor at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study, specializing in human-computer interaction. She primarily designs, builds and evaluates systems for comprehending and interacting with population-level structure and trends in large code and data corpora.
During her PhD at MIT, she was a member of the MIT Wrestling Team. She trained year-round with a variety of freestyle clubs in the New England area—including several run by various current and former Harvard Wrestling staff—and periodically as a developmental athlete at the US Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs in order to compete in regional, national, and some international (Canadian) tournaments. She is thrilled to be back on the mat helping coach the Harvard Women’s Wrestling Club as a volunteer Assistant Coach and faculty sponsor.
