Brown University, Biomedical Engineering, class of 2011
National Merit Scholarship
PGSS gave me the opportunity to immerse myself in my academic interests in a challenging and encouraging environment. I am so lucky to have become friends with 99 other driven, talented and fascinating people who aredrawn to science, but who also have cultivated a truly diverse array of experiences and interests. During those five weeks, I learned how to collaborate effectively, strive to be a positive intellectual force in a team, innovate analytically, and appreciate the ideas of my peers. PGSS affirmed my love for science and my experience there persuaded me to continue on the path to a career in Biomedical engineering or medicine; I am currently pursuing a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering at Brown University.
