Testimonial
PGSS gave me the opportunity to see science beyond the scope of my small rural high school’s classes. While in the program, I met other students who were just as excited about science as I was. As well, I witnessed the large scale structure of science at CMU. I can also directly attribute my choice to study physics to my experience in PGSS: Before attending the program, I knew I was adept in math andscience, but was very unsure of what I wanted to do. During PGSS, I was enthralled with my physics class in special relativity, leading to my choice of studying physics in college.
